THE ORDER OF St JOHN
THE ORDER OF St JOHN is an ancient Christian Priestly Order which, in its present form, was created by Royal Charter and the work of the St John Ambulance is known worldwide. The Order's principal objectives are to provide help to the needy and to the sick regardless of race, colour or creed. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is the Sovereign Head of the Order. The Motto: 'Pro Fide et Pro Utilitate Hominum' translates into English as 'For the Faith and in the Service of Humanity'. St John is a hard-working, practical, volunteer organisation with thousands of volunteers. One of the Order's objectives in Singapore is to work with our schools to have a “First Aider” in every home as this will save Singaporean lives. They also fund the St John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem.
Capt. Stuart C. MacBride, the CEO of Energy Support Management, is the Secretary of the Order in Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland.
St JOHN AMBULANCE SINGAPORE
The St JOHN AMBULANCE in Singapore is a voluntary organization which provides training in First Aid and Home Nursing. It also assists the Republic of Singapore whenever called upon to help with clinic and hospital duties to cover emergencies such as epidemics. Its Brigade Officers and Members perform voluntary first aid coverage duties during National, public and other events including the F1 Grand Prix.
Our CEO always enjoys any opportunity to meet fellow members of the Order and visited the St John Ambulance Headquarters located at 420 Beach Road, Singapore to learn more of the good work that the St John organisation in Singapore carries out.
When Energy Support Management moved office from Maxwell House to a fully furnished office at 78 Shenton Way its surplus office furniture was donated to the Singapore offices of St John.
